SUBURBAN LEGENDS
Suburban Legends
Rump Shaker

Kerrang! Magazine Review

'Crackin' smiles even when we're sad, that's just the way it goes in a ska
band', warbles Suburban Legends vocalist Tim Maurer on tongue-in-cheek
paean to perky martydorm 'Do It For The Kids'.   Go tell that to The
Specials, then.  Or Capdown.  Or Voodoo Glow Skulls.   Ska-punk doesn't
have to be frothy lightweight fun, but that's the route the Legends take
and for what it's worth they do it as well as most.  There's nothing
particularly original here but the frantic rhythms, parping horns and
choppy guitars are all firmly in place and if you want an album to remind
you of what summer was like this could well be it.
