The Littlest Man Band Better Book Ends
Big Cheese Magazine January 2005
When RBF fans watched this band when they toured recently, you could see their faces drop when Scott Klopfenstein started playing. The horns were still there, but gone were the happy-go-lucky drinking anthems, replaced by almost melancholic piano rock. Scott has more than proved is he capable of doing it on his own with this album of brilliantly written songs. It sounds like a mixture of jazz and Ben Folds, but still with a very rocky edge. Stand out songs are 'Always Sayin'', 'Stayed Away Too Long' and the extremely powerful closer 'It's You'. If you liked 'Drunk Again' from RBF's album 'Cheer Up!', you will love this album. It's very different, but still outstanding'.
